Hello there Glasya and welcome to the 9th interview of the CB Radio crew! If you would, can you please tell the people who don't know you something about yourself?
Well my nickname is Glasya, been using it for about.. 12 years now. At the moment I'm 24 years old, and I live in the Netherlands.
In your spare time, what do you enjoy doing when you're not DJ'in?
I have an old scooter which I like to work on a bit, also I like to go out fishing when the weather is ok, and I play an occasional online game with some mates.
What interested you in CB Radio and how/where did you hear about it?
I already knew Decl from back when I did a bit of DJ'ing for him at TGS (The Gaming Shoutcast) Radio. Than I saw the radio on the frontpage of the ClanBase website and one thing lead to another and here I am.
Awesome. What is your favourite genre of music and how do you organise your show?
Well I always had a very big variety in my music, ranging from hardcore to classical. Recently I enjoy playing Dubstep and Country / Rockabilly music the most.
If people have not heard your show before, how would you promote it?
By telling them that it's a show for open minded people since I play all sorts of different music genres, therefore people can experience music they might have never heard of before but which they might certainly like. Of course like most of my fellow DJs, I also accept requests!
So when you're On Air, do you find yourself getting nerves or are you quite a laid back person?
I am laid back both on air as in real life haha, the only thing that is kinda a bummer is that my show airs on Monday, which is one of the quietest days so it's like talking to a brick wall :D
Now as you well know, ClanBase is an international gaming website which is host to several games and different cups, have you ever played in an event on ClanBase in any game?
I "wasted" 6 years of my life playing Unreal Tournament '99 in which I played in several clans mostly iCTF where i was in the top 10-20 Europe. After that I kinda stopped with that active game playing. I currently spend a bit of time with UT2004 / League of Legends / Lineage 2 / Call of Duty: MW2.
That's quite a long and active history. Now as you may well know, some DJs like to have listeners call in and have a chat with them. Is that something you do and something you think is a good idea or do you strongly disagree with it?
Of course it's awesome when listeners call in, unfortunately I cannot get it working on my computer so currently it's not an option for me.
You eventually will! If there were absolutely no limits and you could change anything within CB Radio, would you take that opportunity to do so?
Well, I occasionally had ClanBase AutoDJ on at my work, and it would be awesome if there would be a higher request limit than the current 12 songs per 24 hours if I'm not mistaken. Other than that it's going quite well I think!
