PARTY GOIN’ ON!
ClanBase Radio presents TRUCKER DIABLO and their debut album The Devil Rhythm.

Seriously? Truck drivers’ rock’n’roll from Nothern Ireland?:P Oh yeah! We’ve all heard about the truck driver’s life, ladies all over the country, flanner shirts and blue jeans. These guys definitely fit the picture – just take a look at them! I did find such sounds surprising coming from Ireland, I’m not sure why. This sort of music has fans all over the world, after all... They’ve been playing together since 2008 but the band members performed with other bands before that so one cannot call them amateurs.

The band are: Tom Harte: Guitar/Vocals; Simon Haddock: Guitar/Vocals; Glenn Harrison: Bass Guitar; Terry Crawford: Drums. The album consists of 10 very vivid, classic rock tracks. Its title sounds very promising already – The Devil Rhythm - it definitely is a very, very rhythmical, guitars sound quite heavy. It kicks off with a very energetic and fast track Drink beer, destroy, based on a classical rock riff, with a very nice guitar solo in the middle. The speed definitely stays on to Juggernaut and Big truck. The vocals keep up with the rhythm and in my opinion, the best track vocal-wise is Voodoo. It starts very innocently, but then, it speeds up again. Sounds very genuine, considering it’s about heart breaking and women practicing voodoo.
So even though all the tracks are within the same style, one just cannot get bored. That’s due to the guitar acrobatics we can hear in most tracks (When angels die is definitely my favourite, with change of speed in the middle and gloomy riffs, that sort of remind me of Black Sabbath a bit). The songs are very catchy and melodic, although they sound a bit rough, but hey, that’s the truckers’ rock’n’roll signature.
